DURA de Mexico Will Generate 1500 Jobs

Company officers of DURA de Mexico S.A. de C.V. announced to the Mayor of Matamoros Baltazar Hinojosa Ochoa that Dura de Mexico will create fifteen hundred jobs and their interest to continue doing business in Matamoros. 

The company officers assured the Mayor that their decision for planning an additional investment for next year was due to the excellent treatment they have received in Matamoros.

The above was stated by Rafael Croquet, manager of the mentioned company, who thanked Hinojosa Ochoa for the support the municipal government has given to them to achieve their investment here. The municipal President was accompanied by union representatives as well as representatives from the maquila industry.

Dura de Mexico who began operations with 120 jobs will continue hiring personnel to reach fifteen hundred job opportunities. Among those in attendance were Juan Villafuerte Morales, general secretary of the Journeymen and Industrial Workers and of the Maquila Industry Union; Roberto Mattus Rivera, director of the Matamoros Maquila Association; Ernesto Velarde Danache, members of the Economical Development Committee of Matamoros, and Nancy Estrada Ayala, secretary of the Economical and Employment Development Agency. 

On behalf of the company Mr. Bob Mackims, Operations Director of the Mexico plant; Jeff Tomlinson, Project Manager; Juan Cepeda Garcia, Human Resources Manager, participated along with other authorities. Rafael Croquet mentioned that Dura de Mexico will be considering building an additional 90,000 SF plant at the Ciudad Industrial Park. 

He also acknowledged Mayor Baltazar Hinojosa Ochoa for the facilities provided by his government. Mayor Hinojosa Ochoa explained that DURA de Mexico decided to expand in Matamoros because it was the best city in the world to invest. “They are guaranteed to be treated well because there is a disposition from the municipal, state and federal authorities to continue creating good jobs.”  Mayor Hinojoas Ochoa stated that the municipal government has been very interested in this company because it is one of the companies that train and pay well the personnel that they hire.
